The Children’s Dental Health Clinic (CDHC) is a non-profit pediatric dental clinic providing specialized oral health care services, support and training from the main clinic in Long Beach and satellite clinic on Catalina Island.
As the safety-net oral health care provider for low-income children and young adults ages 0-21 from Greater Long Beach and South Los Angeles County, we are proud of our nearly 100-year history of providing local families with the comprehensive, compassionate and quality dental care everyone deserves!
We also support the unique needs of children who are disabled or medically-compromised, and we are an accredited training facility for multiple dental specialties. We provide hands-on experience in partnership with USC’s Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry, MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center, Cerritos College and West Coast University.
Early Intervention Program
Our Oral Health Education Center’s Early Intervention Program is a great way to introduce children ages 0-5 to oral health care. We provide fun and engaging ways for children and parents to work together to prevent cavities, learn about healthy habits, and reduce a child’s fear of the dentist.
Multi-Specialty Treatment
Our Multi-Specialty Treatment Program provides comprehensive dental services, including general and pediatric dentistry, endodontics and periodontics, oral surgery, treatment with intravenous sedation, and treatment under general anesthesia in the operating rooms at Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital.
Orthodontics
We also offer comprehensive orthodontic treatment, including braces and Invisalign, and we treat routine to complex cases, including children with cranio-facial/cleft palate development challenges.
Premier Training Program
As an accredited training facility for multiple dental specialties, we provide hands-on experience through a Clinical Residency program for pediatric dentists and oral surgeons in partnership with USC’s Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry and Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center.
We also serve as a clinical training site for students in the Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs at Cerritos College and West Coast University, as well as an internship site for California State University, Long Beach’s Health Administration Department.
