Learn more about Dr. Logan Okawachi, DDS
The Children’s Dental Health Clinic (CDHC) has had a huge impact on our Pediatric Dental Resident, Dr. Logan Okawachi. His father began working at the Clinic in 1982, and it’s where he met Dr. Logan’s mother. They both inspired him to pursue pediatric dentistry from a young age, and we are thrilled that he is continuing their legacy!
Here is what he shared with us in Fall 2025:
I am so passionate about pediatric dentistry. I’ve wanted to pursue this profession since I was a kid, and I thank my parents for this inspiration.
My father is a pediatric dentist, my mom is the office manager, and they’ve been working together for nearly 40 years. I would do homework in my dad’s office after school and sneak around watching him work on patients.
These formative experiences led me to a Pediatric Dental Residency at USC, and I’m so fortunate to be completing my residency at the Children’s Dental Health Clinic, because CDHC is very special to me. My father started working at the Clinic in 1982, and it is where he met my mother.
My father still comes to the Clinic once a month to help the residents as we treat patients. After my training, I hope to continue what my parents started so many years ago, and one day, give back to CDHC too.
